Nicolas Jackson has been awarded the Guinness Goal of the Month for October 2024 for his goal in Chelseas 2-1 win over Newcastle United.
Jackson found the net after a remarkable sweeping move that originated deep in Chelseas territory. Cole Palmer executed a brilliant, defence-splitting pass from just outside his own penalty area that set Pedro Neto free, who then evaded a challenge and assisted Jackson for a rapid counter-attacking goal.
This marks Jacksons first Premier League monthly accolade, and its the second time this season that a Chelsea player has received the Guinness Goal of the Month award, following Palmers recognition in August for his exquisite lob against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Chelsea has secured three of the last four Guinness Goal of the Month awards and has achieved this accolade nine times since its inception in the 2016/17 season, placing them just behind Manchester United, who has won it ten times.
The Senegaleses goal was selected as the best from a shortlist of eight outstanding contenders in October, with public votes combined with those from a panel of experts.
