Former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher, has lambasted iconic football star, Cristiano Ronaldo, over his recent comment on being the very best.

Ronaldo, who plays his football at Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, had recently insisted he was the greatest player the world has ever known.

This comment meant that, to him, the likes of Lionel Messi and other icons are below his standard.

Carragher accused the Portugal international of participating in pre-planned interviews and compared his attitude with Messis humble nature.

Ronaldo has five Ballons dOr to his name and at 40-year-old the former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus superstar is still going strong.
