The prologue winners of Africas Untamed Mountain Bike Race won the shortened third stage over 78 kilometres with 2 450 metres of elevation at Fairview in Paarl in a sprint finish.
They crossed the line a second ahead of overall race leaders, Nino Schurter and Filipo Vierro Colombo of Switzerland, completing the distance in three hours, 22 minutes and 44 seconds. The South Africans, Marco Joubert and Tristan Joubert were third across the finish line and are also third overall, nine minutes and 49 seconds behind the Swiss riders.
