Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has cautioned that the club faces a difficult and lengthy path back to the top.

The 39-year-old made the comments following Nottingham Forest's first win at Old Trafford in 30 years.

Forest defeated the Red Devils 3-2 on Saturday, handing Amorim his second consecutive loss in the Premier League - his first such run since August 2022 when he was managing Sporting CP.

The result leaves United in 13th place in the league, with only 19 points, marking their lowest total after 15 games since the 1986-87 season.
