Every year, the City of Cape Town honours its accredited neighbourhood watch volunteers and it is again time to nominate the individuals or groups who have a positive impact on your community, Cape town Etc reports.
'Some 50 000 volunteer patrollers keep our communities safe, the biggest neighbourhood watch program in all of Africa,' says the City's Mayco member for safety security, JP Smith.
'The neighbourhood watch program is something our City has worked hard to initiate, develop and support over the years and each year we recognize the various neighbourhood watches and individuals within, for outstanding service, achievements or dedication.'
