The Nigerian minister for sports, Mr John Enoh, has spoken on Victor Osimhens viral public outburst on Finidi George, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Napoli striker was not included in Finidi Georges 23-man squad to face South Africa and the Benin Republic, as the coach opted for Paul Onuachu, Victor Boniface and Terem Moffi as his striking options up-front.
According to several reports, Osimhen was injured, and in light of questions about his commitment to the national team, went on Instagram to express his displeasure in the comments hed heard after it was confirmed Finidi George handed his resignation letter to the Nigerian Football Federation.
The NFF are yet to make an official comment on the situation, neither have they announced the official departure of the former Enyimba Internation Coach, and the Sports minister revealed that he ordered the Football Federation to remain mute until the situation is resolved.
The Super Eagles lost to Benin Republic and drew against South Africa, further complicating their chances of participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
