Iphone 16e South Africa Pricing, Pre-order And Release Dates Revealed

iStore South Africa has announced that the newly launched iPhone 16e will be available at its stores across the country from Friday, 28 February 2025, with prices starting from R15,999.

This is the same release date for the United States and other key markets, which means South Africans will yet again be among the first in the world to get their hands on the latest iPhone.

If you cant wait for the 28th, youd be pleased to know that pre-orders open on Friday, 21 February 2025 at 15:00.

You can choose to purchase the device via an upfront payment, upgrade or cellular contract.

You may also opt to trade in your current device for instant savings or take advantage of iStore's financing solutions, iStore SA said in a statement shared with Current Affairs ZA on Thursday 20 February.

The Apple Premium Partner in Africa is offering up to R22,000 cash back when you trade in your old device. You will have the option of using the trade-in value towards your new iPhone 16e or getting the cash deposited directly into your bank account.

Customers can trade-in up to five devices Mac, iPad, iPhone, Apple Watch, PC or Android smartphones to further discount their new iPhone, iStore SA said.

As part of its launch offer, iStore is also offering customers free iCarePlus, valued at R1,999, for every iPhone purchase. The iCarePlus package also includes an extra year of warranty and screen repair.

This now includes a guaranteed buy-back, ensuring that two years from now, iStore will buy back your iPhone for 55 percent of its original value, making your future upgrade even more affordable, it said.
