Boavista Defender, Bruno Onyemaechi, just had a wonderful season for Boavista in Europe. The former Feirense man talks about life in Portugal, his first Super Eagles call-up and more in this interview with Sports Vanguard.
Can you tell us what it was like as a young boy playing football?
Football is undoubtedly the most loved sport in Nigeria. Growing up, youd find every young boy kicking the ball around on streets, red sands, or any open space available. It was pure joy and a way to just be a carefree kid. Looking back now, those moments were fundamental in shaping my love for the game and paving the way to where I am today
Did you run into trouble back in the day, especially with your parents?
