American rapper Soulja Boy has revealed why he performed at a Donald Trump inauguration ball.

Soulja Boy, alongside Nelly and Snoop Dogg, has been facing backlash from fans who felt they betrayed their trust by accepting the invitation to perform at Trumps inauguration balls.

Reacting to the criticisms, the rapper said he was paid to perform at the event.

He explained that he never received any financial benefit from former President Barack Obama, outgoing Vice President, and Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris, but Trump enriched him.
