Former Borussia Dortmund midfielder and Nigerian football icon, Sunday Oliseh, has openly expressed his admiration for Bayer Leverkusens rising star, Victor Boniface, Soccernet.ng reports.
Boniface, who has been in scintillating form this season, made a strong impression during his UEFA Champions League debut on Thursday as Leverkusen demolished Feyenoord 4-0.
While the 22-year-old forward did not find the back of the net, his dribbling skills and relentless pressure kept Feyenoord's defence on high alert throughout the match.
After the game, Boniface shared an emotional story , recalling his humble beginnings when he paid 30 naira to watch the Champions League in Akure. This dream has now come full circle with his participation in the tournament.
