The recently launched iPhone 16e is now available in South Africa online and in-store - and iStore is offering up to R22,000 cash back when you trade in your current phone.
Customers can choose to purchase the latest iPhone 16e for cash, or upgrade their Vodacom , MTN or Telkom cellular contracts through iStore, with a range of trade-in offers making this upgrade to iPhone 16e more affordable than ever, iStore South Africa said on Friday 28 February in a statement shared with Current Affairs ZA .
Trade-ins for iPhone 16eYou can choose to get your trade-in value as cash back into your bank account up to 30 days after your iPhone purchase, iStore said. This means the full trade-in benefit will be available for any customer who buys now.
The table below shows how much you could pay for an iPhone 16e when you trade in an iPhone 14 or iPhone 13:
Prices for the new device are R15 999 for 128GB, R19 499 for 256GB and R24 999 for 512GB. Your cash back could therefore work out as follows:
- iPhone 14 128GB for iPhone 16e 128GB: R9 600
- iPhone 14 256GB for iPhone 16e 256GB: R 11 500
- iPhone 14 512GB for iPhone 16e 512GB: R13 000
- iPhone 13 128GB for iPhone 16e 128GB: R8 000
- iPhone 13 256GB for iPhone 16e 256GB: R10 600
- iPhone 13 512GB for iPhone 16e 512GB: R13 200

Customers can trade-in up to five devices Mac, iPad, iPhone, Apple Watch , PC or Android smartphones to further discount their new iPhone, iStore SA said in an earlier release.
You can also apply for an iPhone 16e contract upgrade online at iStore, regardless of where you signed the initial contract.
Customers can easily complete the required paperwork online, avoiding the hassle of in-store queues, the store said.
Once the contract upgrade is finalised, the new iPhone 16e will be delivered directly to the customers doorstep free of charge.
