Bontsintsi Horse Safaris has launched an immersive horse-riding safari in a 220 000-hectare concession in the northern region of Botswanas Okavango Delta. Based at Jumbo Junction, the safari offers four-, six-, or eight-night options, with each day featuring morning rides covering extensive distances through floodplains, savannah, islands, and channels, all under the guidance of experienced safari leaders.
The safari is designed for experienced riders due to the fast-paced, long-distance nature of the journey. Safety protocols for wildlife encounters are stringent, with trained horses and guides equipped to manage potentially intense situations. Riders are advised to observe strict safety rules, including staying behind guides and refraining from sudden movements that could provoke wildlife.
