honeyguide portfolio expands with waterberg lodge

Albatros Travel Africa has acquired Hanglip Mountain Lodge in the greater Waterberg region of Limpopo from Entabeni Hospitality. As part of the Honeyguide portfolio, which includes four safari camps in South Africa and Tanzania, the lodge will be rebranded as Honeyguide Conservation Lodge.

This addition to our existing portfolio greatly strengthens the Honeyguide brand and confirms our commitment to investment within South Africa, said Ben Hurst , Managing Director of Albatros Travel Africa.

Within Entabeni Game Reserve, the lodge has 10 rooms each featuring a spacious deck with views of the adjacent dam, bushveld and Hanglip Mountain. Planned renovations will include a new overflow pool, dining conservancy, spa treatment room and lounge area.

Set to reopen as a 4.5 to five-star lodge, it will offer game drives, walks and opportunities for guests to participate in conservation projects.

The new name reflects Albatros commitment to its existing conservation projects as well as developing new projects. We expect special focus on conservation, which guests will be able to experience first-hand, said Sren Rasmussen, Founder and Chairman of the Albatros Travel Group.
