The small town of Hoedspruit in Limpopo is observing increasing numbers of international tourists. Tourists from Europe, South America and small islands such the Re-Union Island have been visiting the town and nearby Kruger National Park.

The Eastgate landing strip in Hoedspruit welcomes five flights daily, making the small airport the busiest in Limpopo.

International tourists use the privately owned airport which has seen a surge in arrivals.

Some tourists say they have earmarked this area as an international honeymoon destination.

"Were from Brazil and were in honeymoon, we just got married so many of our friends got married and came here and they said its incredible to see the big five. We wanna spend time in the Safari already did Cape Town. So, now its the big thing of the trip. We are here for the Safari, we will also go on spar and do retreatments and enjoy our honeymoon and remind of this time forever maybe."
