World leaders have been congratulating Britains next prime minister Keir Starmer on his victory at the UKs general elections.
Starmer, with his centre-left Labour Partys sweeping victoryin the Britains parliamentary election, ended 14 years of often tumultuous Conservative government after trouncing Rishi Sunaks party.

Australian Prime Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, in an address to reporters, said,
We have a strong relationship between our two countries, but in Sir Keir Starmer and Angela Rayner and so many others who I am very familiar with in the British Labour Party, I look forward very much to working with them.
