Heatwave Warning Issued For Seven Provinces

The South African Weather Service has warned of very high temperatures across the country, with a third heatwave of the season expected to affect seven provinces throughout the week.

SABC Meteorologist Joel Guy outlined the severe weather forecast, noting extended periods of extreme heat in various regions.

"It's going to be a long, hot week for South Africans in at least seven provinces. Residents in parts of the North West and the northern parts of the Free State can expect high temperatures until Wednesday - while those in KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, Limpopo, and Mpumalanga can prepare for scorching weather until at least Friday. Extremely high fire danger conditions are also predicted for several areas," Guy says.

Residents are advised to take precautions as the heatwave persists.
