Heatwave Continues In Several Provinces

Many parts of the country including Gauteng, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo and Mpumalanga are experiencing a heatwave.

The South African Weather Service has forecast temperatures as high as 34 degrees Celsius this weekend.

It says the heatwave will persist until tomorrow over the eastern parts of the North West and the Free State.

Forecaster Tokelo Chiloane says, We are having a heatwave with persistently high temperatures expected until Sunday over the extreme northeastern parts of the Eastern Cape, the western part of KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga as well as Gauteng but it will persist until Monday over the eastern parts of North West province and Free State.
