The Directorate of Priority Crime Investigation ( Hawks ), have announced that they have been tasked with investigating the kidnapping of the accused Cape gang boss, who was kidnapped by Colombian Cartels with an R50 million ransom demand, Cape {town} Etc reports.

Peter Jaggers , from Kriefgat in Cape Town, was accused of stealing R1 billion in cocaine, and reports circulated that he had been assassinated by the cartel.

According to IOL , this comes after Hawks Colonel Katlego Mogale stated that they were examining the issue, which was at a delicate stage, and could not speak further.

The case has since been transferred to the ORTIA (Oliver Tambo International Airport) SAPS. The Johannesburg-based Hawks South Africa Narcotics Bureau is entrusted with the case and it is still under investigation.

Jaggers, the suspected Terrible Josters gang boss, has been missing since July 4 at the Emperors Hotel in Gauteng. He was attending a meeting with a business partner when he was allegedly kidnapped by a Colombian cartel in South America.
