Hammanskraal Residents Say Have No Hope Of Getting Clean Water

Residents of Hammanskraal in northern Pretoria say have no hope of getting access to clean water. This is after the two-day Water and Sanitation Indaba which ended at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand on Friday.

Hammanskraal is one of areas where water supply has been severely affected .

Residents have endured nearly 20 years without clean drinkable water. In 2023 there was cholera outbreak which killed 20 people in the area .

Some residents say they are pessimistic.

"I've been here for 20 years, and this problem is persisting, so we should relocate, this place is not good," says one of the residents.
