Grannies Football Tournament Reaches Semi-final Stage In Tzaneen

The semi-finals are underway in the International Grannies Football Tournament which features elderly women from various countries at Nkowankowa in Tzaneen, Limpopo.
Twenty-two teams from countries such as Mozambique, Kenya, France, the USA, and the UK have been playing since Wednesday. The finals will be played later on Saturday.
Ntsanwisi says they still need more support for the soccer teams as they foster social cohesion.
At the moment we have kitten razors from Kenya and a team from USA, today is the semi finale in 2025 we are finalising and ripping things off things a team, New England breakers those are the 2023 champions they will be up against also from USA later in the afternoon we are going to have a team from Mbombela playing against a team from France finals are going to start at exactly 2 oclock. We are hoping to bring the world back again in 2027, we are hoping to go to Kenya to hold the tournament. At the moment, we are hoping all governments can come and support us financially, our grannies really need our support to make sure we are hoping South Africa can have a better future tournaments, Khensani Ntsanwisi, who is one of the organisers explains.
