Girlfriend Of Man Who Had Possession Of Child Pornography Arrested

A 25-year-old woman from Houghton was arrested on Thursday, 23 January 2025, in connection with a child pornography case, Cape town Etc reports.

The woman, a professional web designer, is facing charges related to the possession of child pornography and money laundering.

Her arrest follows the capture of her 35-year-old boyfriend last week, who was taken into custody during a joint operation led by the national and Gauteng provincial Serial and Electronic Crime Investigations SECI Units in Midrand.

The investigation, which had been underway for some time, uncovered a chilling connection between the woman and her partner, both of whom are allegedly involved in possessing child pornography.

Evidence recovered during the raid on Friday, 17 January 2025, included over 10 million images and videos of children, further implicating the woman in the criminal activities. These materials were found on several electronic devices seized by authorities.
