'generations' Actress Manaka Ranaka's Daughter Katlego Passes Away

Katlego Ranaka, the daughter of actress Manaka Ranaka, has passed away, according to a statement from the family.

The multitalented Katlego was also an actress. In her bio on Instagram , she described herself as a musician , radio DJ, National School of the Arts graduate and mother.

"It is with heavy hearts that we share the sorrowful news of the passing of our cherished Katlego KG Ranaka on January 23, the family said on Saturday 25 January.

"The Ranaka family humbly requests your prayers and respect for their privacy during this profoundly challenging time. Further details regarding her farewell will be communicated in due course."

Manaka, who is known for her legendary role as Lucy Diale in Generations: The Legacy , mourned her daughters loss in an Instagram story on Saturday, captioning Katlegos image with, Oh my beautiful angel. RIPKatlegoRanaka.

Katlegos sister, Thandokhule, also posted a video tribute on Instagram. My angel, my first love, my SOUL SISTA, she captioned it.

Never did I think that this day would come so soon. My heart is broken, you have left me with a wound that I don't know how to heal. Until I find the words, till we meet again- I will love you forever.

Katlegos passing comes just three months after her birthday in November. Manaka celebrated the occasion in a heartfelt post on Instagram .

Happy birthday to the first born, the first grandchild, the first niece. The best big sister to my children. Happy birthday my first love katlego_ranaka I love you longtime my big girl, she wrote.
