Gabons U17 National Team Receives Huge Financial Reward

As a token of appreciation and encouragement, the Gabonese Football Federation FEGAFOOT has rewarded the Gabonese national U17 team for their efforts in the recent UNIFFAC tournament. In Douala, Cameroon.
The young Panthers, who were eliminated from the African Cup of Nations AFCON qualifiers, were honored in the presence of their proud parents. Despite their early exit from the tournament, FEGAFOOT President Pierre Alain Mounguengui acknowledged the teams hard work during the UNIFFAC tournament, held from 16 to 28 of February 2025 and rewarded each player with the sum of 500,000 FCFA as a sign of appreciation for their commitment to representing Gabon on the international stage.
The ceremony, held at the Bikl Technical Center, was an inspiring gesture for the young players and their families. Mounguengui praised the teams resilience and determination, while also thanking the parents for entrusting their children to the federation for a month.
