The Department of International Relations and Cooperation has set aside R497 million 26.4million for the hosting of the summit expected to take place in November 2025 and other events associated with South Africa assuming presidency of the G20 bloc of countries.
Have elections hampered tourism? Last week, Tourism Update reported that South Africas international arrivals this year were dampened by, among other factors, national elections in many of the countrys top source markets.
More than 100 countries including the UK, US and Brazil went to the polls this year, which potentially sowed reluctance to travel in these markets.
