Fuel Prices Rise From Wednesday - Petrol Up 81c, Diesel By 89c

Motorists will have to dig deeper from Wednesday as the price of petrol and diesel are anticipated to rise substantially.

The data from the Central Energy Fund points to a petrol price increase of between 75 cents and 81 cents per litre. This is while diesel prices are expected to jump by around 89 cents per litre.

The Department of Petroleum and Mineral Resources is expected to announce the fuel price adjustment for February imminently.

Economist Dawie Roodt warns motorists to brace for a hike of between 80 cents to R1 a litre, while another increase could be on the cards for March.

Unfortunately looking at what the exchange rate of the Rand has been doing the last couple of days, if the Rand remains where it is at the moment, Im afraid another increase can be expected next month, but of course.
