Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has suspendedBarrister Otonye Briggs, the caretaker committee chairman of the Akuku-Toru local government area, just three weeks before the local government election. In a statement released in Port Harcourt yesterday by his chief press secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Fubara appointed Bitebobo Nelson Amieye as the new head of the council.
