Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have insisted that their recognition of Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State as leader of the party in the state stands.
DAILY POST reports that the former governor of the state, Nyesom Wike and Fubara have been battling for the partys leadership structure.
Wike, the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, had warned the PDP governors to steer clear of Rivers State, threatening that he will set fire in their various states if they continue to support his estranged godson.
However, responding to Wikes controversial outbursts, the Chairman of PDP Governors Forum, Governor Bala Mohammed said there is no going back on their support for Fubara.
Speaking when he received the delegation of the party's National Working Committee, NWC, Mohammed, the incumbent Governor of Bauchi State said the decision of the PDP governors was in order.
