
Former African Leaders Appointed To Lead Drc Peace Talks
The Southern African Development Community SADC and the East African Community EAC have appointed three former leaders to bring together those who are involved in the Democratic Republic of Congo DRC conflict .
They are former president Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya, Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria and former Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Hailemariam.
It is not yet clear when the leaders are to convene a meeting that will lead to inclusive dialogue.
The regional organisations are working hard to try and find a lasting solution to the current conflict in the DRC.
The M23 group has announced that it is willing to engage in peace talks however, the government of the DRC has ruled out a possibility of engaging with the group.
