The Flying Eagles of Nigeria departed for Lome, Togo , on Tuesday to compete in the WAFU-B U20 tournament.

Led by head coach Aliyu Zubair, Technical Adviser of El-Kanemi Warriors, the team took off from Muritala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos at approximately 1025 am.

Before their departure, the squad concluded their final preparations at the Remo Stars training complex in Ikenne, Ogun State, Nigeria. The travelling delegation includes a 20-man squad, coaching staff, support personnel, and officials from the Nigeria Football Federation NFF.

As the reigning champions, the Flying Eagles have been drawn into Group B, alongside Cote dIvoire and Burkina Faso. Nigeria will begin their title defence on Friday, October 18, with their opening match against Burkina Faso at the Municipal Stadium in Lome. The game is scheduled for 3 pm local time.
