Florida's "Tool Time Sales Tax Holiday," began on Labor Day weekend and will run through Sept. 7.
From power tools to work boots, consumers will be able to purchase qualifying items commonly used by skilled trade workers without paying for the sales tax.
A list of qualifying items that are exempt from tax during the seven-day sales tax holiday period is provided in Tax Information Publication (TIP) No. 24A01-06 . These include:
- $25 or less per pair:
-Work gloves
- $30 or less per item:
-High-visibility safety vests
