After making his first start for Wolfsburg against Bayer Leverkusen, Mohamed Amoura is hoping for an impactful season in the Bundesliga.

The Algeria international joined the Wolves on a 12-month loan from Union SG in July, but he missed the opening two games of the new campaign after sustaining a knee injury during pre-season.

Amoura was handed his debut as a second-half substitute in the 2-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt on September 14 and was rewarded with a start at the BayArena after setting up Ridle Baku for the equaliser.

The 24-year-old striker had a hand in the opening goal against Leverkusen when his cross was diverted into the back of his own net by Nordi Mukiele in the fifth minute, although Ralph Hasenhuttls side went on to lose 4-3.

Amoura insists he is fit and raring to go as the Lower Saxony outfit look to halt a two-match losing streak on Saturday.
