Former Arsenal and France midfielder Emmanuel Petit believes Napolis Victor Osimhen would be ideal for Arsenals attack as they aim to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title next season, Soccernet.ng reports .
Arsenal are looking for a new striker after finishing second in the title race for two consecutive seasons.
Osimhen is a key target for the Gunners this summer, but his high transfer fee could be a stumbling block. Napoli are only willing to sell if Osimhen's release clause, around €130 million, is met. Both Arsenal and Chelsea are hesitant to pay this amount, making a transfer difficult.
However, Petit insists that signing Osimhen would significantly strengthen Arsenals attacking options.
Despite injuries and international duties, Osimhen scored 17 goals and provided four assists in 32 games for Napoli last season. The year before, he netted 31 goals in 39 games, helping Napoli win the Serie A title.
