Fishermans Body Found In Limpopo, Inquest Docket Opened
The police in Limpopo have opened an inquest docket following the discovery of the body of a fisherman at the Mogalakwena river near Arrie village outside Mokopane.
The deceased is believed to have been attacked by crocodiles while fishing on Friday. Police spokesperson, Malesela Ledwaba has advised community members to avoid swimming, fishing, fetching water and doing laundry in crocodile infested streams.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased was last seen fishing on the same spot, and there is a possibility that he was attacked by crocodiles. The body was retrieved from the river. The body was found with some parts missing. He was certified dead at the scene. The deceased was identified as Phuthi Oscar Serumula.
