Finidi George may soon return to coaching just days after stepping down as the head coach of the Super Eagles, Soccernet.ng reports .
Finidi, who initially served as an assistant and caretaker coach, was appointed head coach of the Super Eagles in May.
However, he resigned after only 40 days due to tensions with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). His tenure saw two disappointing results against South Africa and the Benin Republic, leading the NFF to consider hiring a foreign coach as Technical Adviser. Upset by the lack of trust, Finidi resigned immediately.
Now, Rivers United are reportedly considering Finidi for their head coach position, according to the Nation .
The clubs management is looking to make changes after an unimpressive end to the season.
