Renowned actor turned politician has called it quits as a Member of Parliament of the Economic Freedom Fighters EFF. Mokoena has also resigned as a member of the highest decision-making decision body between conferences of the EFF, the Central Command Team CCT.
Mokoena has, over the years, been a close ally of former EFF Deputy President Floyd Shivambu who defected to the MK Party.
EFF leader Julius Malema has continuously warned that there will be more party leaders in all spheres leaving the party.
Mokoena's resignation comes just after Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane also dumped the red berets this week .
