She brought joy, laughter, kindness and helpfulness to our lives and the lives of everyone she encountered, said Brook Cheuvronts father, Steven Cheuvront, as he took to Facebook to honour the memory of his daughter, Cape {town} Etc reports.

Brook was a student at the University of North Carolina, where, through a scholarship foundation, she was accepted for an internship programme at the Justice Desk Africa's Ntsika ye Themba. The focal point of the programme is the education of young boys about issues such as gender based violence and toxic masculinity.

In conjunction with the programme, Brook attended classes at the University of Cape Town, reports the Daily Voice .

Justice Desk Africa commented to News24 that Brook was a bright light dedicated to making the world a better place. Her radiant energy and smile will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
