Fa Cup: Forest Boss Salutes Awoniyi After Win Over Exeter

Nottingham Forest manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, has praised Taiwo Awoniyi for his impressive performance in the Emirates FA Cup win over Exeter City.

Awoniyi scored the Tricky Trees second goal in the fourth-round tie.

It was the Nigeria internationals second goal across all competitions for the Reds this season.

The keenly contested encounter ended 2-2 after extra time, with Forest prevailing 4-2 on penalties.

Awoniyi was replaced by Chris Wood late in the second half after sustaining a broken nose following a nasty collision with Exeter goalkeeper, Joe Whitworth.
