Veteran defender Ahmed Abdelaziz, better known as Mody, has officially announced his retirement from professional football, concluding a career that spanned 19 seasons. Mody, a product of Al Ismaily's renowned academy, shared the emotional news on his Facebook account, expressing gratitude to those who supported him throughout his journey. The times I spent playing in front of Al Ismaily fans, wearing the Al Ismaily shirt, will never be forgotten, Mody wrote. From my hometown, my governorate, and my family, I went on to play for numerous clubs, including Al Mokawloon Al Arab, Telephonat Beni Suef, Petrojet, Misr El Makassa, Pharco, the Lebanese club Al Nejmeh, and the Libyan club Al Hilal. In his farewell message, he expressed gratitude to everyone who played a role in his success I can only say thank you to everyone who helped me during my career. To every manager who believed in me and contributed to my development, to every teammate I had the honor of playing alongside, and to every fan who supported me-I say thank you all. Mody's career began with Ismaily's first team in the 2004/2005 season. Over the years, he amassed 287 appearances in the Egyptian Premier League, representing clubs such as Pharco, Misr El Makassa, Petrojet, Telephonat Beni Suef, and most recently Arab Contractors. He was captain of the famous Misr El-Makkasa team that finished second in the 2016/17 season, losing the league title to Al Ahly.
