Every State Has The Right To Defend Itself When Threatened: Acdp

The African Christian Democratic Party ACDP says it does not support Israels ongoing bombardment of Gaza, however, it believes that every state has the right to defend itself when threatened.

The partys statement follows strong criticism for its trip to Israel .

The trip, which included eleven MPs from the ACDP, the Democratic Alliance and the Patriotic Alliance has been described as a fact-finding mission.

It comes as South Africas case against Israel at the International Court of Justice still stands.

ACDP leader Reverend Kenneth Meshoe says the party supports every government's right to exist.
