Europa Conference League: I Fall In Love With Him Maresca On Chelsea Defender

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has singled out defender Josh Acheampong for praise following his side's UEFA Europa Conference League quarter-final first-leg 3-0 victory against Legia Warsaw on Thursday.

Acheampong played the full 90 minutes as Chelsea overcame the Polish side in a dominant performance.

Tyrique George opened the scoring for the Blues before Noni Madueke added a brace for the Premier League club.

Speaking after the game, Maresca said: "I fall in love with Josh Acheampong. For me, potentially, he can be a top player, fantastic player for Chelsea. He can be good in different positions. The best thing for Josh is that hes open, he wants to learn. Full-back? No problem. What do I have to do?"

Chelsea will host Legia Warsaw in the return leg next week at Stamford Bridge.
