Alan Shearer has hailed former Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka following his performances for Switzerland at the ongoing Euro 2024 in Germany.
The Swiss defeated Italy 2-0 to move to the quarterfinals of the tournament and will now play England in Frankfurt on Saturday.
Xhaka, 31, scored four goals and made two assists in 50 games across competitions as Bayer Leverkusen won the domestic double.
Shearer said on Match of the Day on BBC 1, "Everyone knows their job.
"When you are on the ball. You have to have quality, and they certainly had that. Xhaka ran and bossed the midfield.
