Ethiopian Airlines ET has recruited Euroairlines as its global air distribution partner with particular focus on developing enhanced connectivity with Central and South America.
The companies signed the agreement at the end of October for Euroairlines to manage the African airlines domestic and international routes, according to a Euroairlines press release.
Euroairlines offers an alternative solution for global air distribution. Its accredited IATA Q4-291 plate is present in more than 50 of IATAs billing settlement payment BSP markets. The companys partners include travel agents, OTAs, aggregators and consolidators.
The agreement affords the African airline access to the Spanish companys extensive network of travel trade partners in more than 60 countries.
Euroairlines CEO Antonio Lopez-Lzaro said the agreement would allow ET to development connectivity with Central and South America through Euroairlines Madrid hub. The partnership is in line with Euroairlines expansion strategy for Africa, he added.
