Ruud van Nistelrooy has broken his silence since he departed Manchester United following Ruben Amorims arrival.
The former Netherlands striker returned to Old Trafford last summer to take the role of assistant manager to Erik ten Hag.
Van Nistelrooy was then installed as interim manager after Ten Hag was sacked in October.
During his brief spell, Van Nistelrooy achieved three wins and a draw.
Although some players were clamouring for the Dutchman to stay, the club announced his exit hours after Amorim touched down in the UK.
