Manchester City have issued a statement on the knee injury suffered by Rodri.
The Premier League champions on Wednesday, confirmed that it is a ligament injury to his right knee.
Rodri had to be substituted during the first half of their 2-2 draw with Arsenal on Sunday.
The Spain midfielder went down without appearing to be touched while sprinting to meet a corner.
Reports emerged on Monday that Rodri had torn the ACL in his right knee.
