Former goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale has insisted that he tried his best to change Arsenal manager Mikel Artetas mind in a bid to get back into the Gunners starting squad.
Ramsdale spoke while reflecting on his move away from Arsenal to Southampton this summer.
The Englishman, who was a former Arsenals number one, left the Premier League North London club to join Southampton after losing his position to David Raya last season.
"A managers decision is a managers decision, Ramsdale told talkSPORT ahead of Southamptons Premier League tie with Manchester United on Saturday.
I tried my best to change Artetas mind and force my way back in. His mind was set- and David Raya had a great season.
