Villarreal CEO, Fernando Roig Nogueroles, has told Chelseas new summer signing, Filip Jorgensen that he made a 'hasty' move joining the Premier League West London club.
He believes Jorgensen made a mistake leaving Villarreal for Chelsea this summer, adding that the goalkeeper would have benefitted from another season in the La Liga.
Recall that Chelsea recently signed the 22-year-old keeper from Villarreal to provide cover for first-choice goalkeeper Robert Sanchez before the summer transfer deadline.
The truth is that we didn't want to sell either Alex [Sorloth] or Filip. We knew that we had to make a sale, but we didn't foresee those, Roig Nogueroles told Spanish publication AS.
In the end, it happened because both players wanted to leave and the offers were attractive enough to accept.
