The Premier League has explained why West Ham were not awarded a penalty in the first half of their match against Chelsea in Saturdays early kick-off.
The Hammers conceded two early goals, which were converted by Nicolas Jackson in the opening 18 minutes of the game.
But they were denied what seems a stonewall penalty, which could have halved the deficit.
In the 28th minute, Wesley Fofana dragged Crysencio Summerville back inside the penalty area.
Contact was initiated outside the box but appeared to continue before Summerville hit the deck
