Enzo Maresca believes Chelsea has the potential to dominate English football over the next decade but emphasized that they are not yet ready for a Premier League title challenge, despite their strong start to the season.
Currently, Chelsea are third in the Premier League, level on 25 points with Arsenal and nine points behind leaders Liverpool. Maresca acknowledged that Chelsea's progress in his first season as manager has exceeded his expectations but cautioned against getting ahead of themselves.
He noted, "They Arsenal have been there in the last two years, very close to City, and we were very far from City," referring to the gap between Chelsea and the league's top clubs in recent seasons.
Chelsea will next face bottom-of-the-table Southampton on Wednesday, while Liverpool travel to Newcastle and Arsenal host a revitalized Manchester United.
