Elon Musk has been appointed by President-elect Donald Trump to lead the newly created Department of Government Efficiency DOGE, alongside Indian-American entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy.
This department aims to dismantle government bureaucracy, reduce excessive regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure federal agencies. Trump likened this initiative to a modern-day "Manhattan Project," emphasizing its ambition and scale. Musk and Ramaswamy's mission is to bring an entrepreneurial approach to government, working closely with the White House and the Office of Management and Budget.
This move is part of Trump's broader "Save America" movement, with the goal of completing their mission by July 4, 2026, the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
