Limpopo polices Head of Crime Detection Unit, Major General Samuel Manala, says 11 arrested traffic officers for allegedly asking for bribes will face several charges when they appear in court.
Eleven officers were arrested on duty on the N1 and at the Transport Department head offices in Polokwane.
They allegedly solicited bribes from offending motorists.
Authorities hope the arrests will deter others from committing similar crimes.
Manala says they had received several complaints from motorists.
